The contrast of the zebra has always fascinated me, throughout my years of travelling to Africa I always set out to capture an abstract black and white image of this beautiful animal as they herd together and change direction.
If it wasn't for one of my students I would have missed this little guy! He was sitting dead still and the only parts of him moving were his big eyes. Would you believe I captured this at 600mm!
These are the moments every nature photographer wants, an interactive and curious animal. This juvenile Humpback whale was the highlight of my 2019 whale photography workshop, all my students nailed an image.
The green sea turtle is one of my favourite species of animal to photograph, their extremely vivid shell, and curious and graceful behaviour always brightens my day.
My little Nemo, I captured this little guy up on the Great Barrier Reef. I have been trying to get ‘that shot' of a clown fish for so many years now. Not only am I extremely happy with this image, it also makes me smile each time I see his cute face.
This encounter was on our last day in Botswana. It was late afternoon as the lion looked toward the setting sun and I managed to capture this beautiful side profile.
One of my favourite portraits of an animal, this large male orangutan was extremely curious at my presence and he would not stop looking at my Sony camera!
A beautiful female leopard rests deep in the jungle of Botswana and poses for a shot. The leopard blends so well into its surroundings it's extremely easy to miss them so getting the opportunity to photograph them is always a rare and beautiful experience.
