No sound from the soundbar connected to the TV via optical cable (TV speakers are muted)

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

Make sure your TV's Speakers setting is set to Audio System.

1. On the TV remote control, press the Quick Settings button.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Display & Sound.
4. Select Audio Output.
5. Select Speakers.
6. Select Audio System.

Notes: If you want sound to come from your TV speakers instead, change this setting back to TV Speakers.
