Picture or screen issues occur when turning on my TV (BRAVIA 3 (S30), BRAVIA 2 II (S20M2))

IMPORTANT: This article only applies to the BRAVIA 3 (S30) and BRAVIA 2 II (S20M2).

TV screen issues

Try resetting your TV if you experience any of the following TV screen issues after turning it on using the remote control:

• Black screen / no display (with sound, without sound) 
• Lines on the screen (vertical bands) 
• Contrast issue (too bright) 
• Unusual color (solarization) 

How to reset your TV

Perform one of the following actions to reset your TV:

• On the remote control, press and hold the Power button until the Cancel/Restart icon pop-up appears. Next, select Restart.
• On the remote control, press the Quick Settings ( or ) button, then select Settings → System → Restart → Restart.
• Press and hold the Power button on the TV for 40 seconds or until the SONY Logo appears.
• Unplug the TV power cord (mains lead) from the electrical outlet. Wait for two minutes, then plug it back in.
