Notice on connecting to the LIGHT connector of XDCAM Shoulder Camcorders

Connecting an external device such as a third-party light that has a built-in battery or that can be powered by battery, to the LIGHT connector (D-Tap connector) of the XDCAM Shoulder Camcorder (hereinafter referred to as the "camcorder") may internally damage the Camcorder.

The LIGHT connector of the camcorder is for output only.

Therefore, please check with the manufacturer of the third-party external device that comes with built-in battery or can be powered by a battery prior to connecting it to the LIGHT connector of the camcorder, that such device does not apply external voltage to the LIGHT connector of the Camcorder. Otherwise, the device must not be used in connection with the Camcorder.
