Awesome bit of kit and considerably helps to stabilise the camera.

I haven't used the grip extensively to date, but plan to in the coming weeks. Feels comfortable in the hand and makes the camera better balanced.

I bought this to add to my A7IV. Used with my FE 200-600 lens it definitely helps to balance the setup better as well as obviously doubling up on the time between replacing batteries.

Only used this once on new camera, but have one on an A7ii and used many times. I personally love it and wish i had one earlier. Love the fact it shows what battery power for each one on screen.

Can shoot all day without a battery change. The camera feels balanced in your hands with all lenses.

Definitely has improved the grip on my A1 along with the convenience of the custom buttons in portrait shots yes I’m more than happy with my purchase along with the extended battery time I now enjoy.

Excellent product, easy to use especially when using in portrait mode.The buttons have been designed well for us photographers.

I bought an immaculate secondhand grip. First impressions are it is taller compared to the Nikon ones I was used to. This is because the batteries are mounted on their edge rather than than on their back. Otherwise it gives a useful camera shooting time before having to change batteries. Nice to have the vertical controls too.

A welcome addition to my 7R 1V camera, a perfect match and adds to the improved balance when using my 200-600mm G lens.

I bought this grip a few weeks ago to compliment my sony a1 and it fits perfectly and is great to use

Bought this for my A7IV but found that the little pins that are mean't to align it don't seem long enough. They do work to a certain extent but the grip wobbles front to back and does not seem to sit flush because of the pressure of the spring mechanism pushing it out no matter how tight you tighten the mounting screw. A future improvement may be to put longer pins in and maybe one on the other side of the grip too.

As the title says but, it doesn't fit very well, there is a visible gap between the body and the grip which you can see through. I have tightened the screw as much as I can - which is quite a lot - pressed down when I tighten the screw but it's still there and I get some slight movement when I hold the grip vertically. My Nikon grips fitted much more snuggly and firmly?? I hope this doesn't affect the weather sealiing!

Recently added this grip to my new A7IV and what a difference its makes to the feel and balance of the camera when using a long telephoto lens like the 200-600mm. The extra battery will give all day shooting great in the winter when the temperature is low and battery life is vital.

It’s a must have on my Sony camera which feels small. I love the lightweight construct but at the same time it feels it can be easily broken especially the battery tray which I bought 2 more extra as a backup. The fit is good though, once tighten, nothing moves.

Purchased this grip for my Sony A7 iv. I originally had a non-Sony one which although worked well wasn't man enough when it came to using a tripod as I specifically bought the A7 iv with video in mind. Great piece of kit- I wouldn't be without it.

Bought the battery grip to accompany my new Sony A1 caers along with 200-600mm g lens and 400mm. The grip is a must for large lenses and aids balance perfectly. The build quality is almost the same as the camera and contours are perfect plus enabling longer battery time as the use of two batteries proling times between charges.

Extremely ergonomic and well made battery grip. As most of Sony lenses are on the large and heavy side, this hand/battery grip is necessary for steady handling of Sony's compact cameras.

While in the vertical position the shutter button does not focus. In that position, focus can only be done using back button focus. Sony Pro Support says not serviceable. I have lived with the issue but not sure if it is designed to work this way, so another one may perform differently.

I purchased this grip and its never let me down. Great that Sony give you the option to use small form factor cameras but also the option to increase the size with the use of this fantastic and versatile grip. Reliable and strong this grip adds another dimension to my Sony camera. 100% must . Love it.

Although I have only just purchased my own example of this product. I have been using one for some time . It does exactly what it says on the tin. It's comfortable, well built and extremely comfortable to hold/use over prolonged periods time. As per usual well done Sony.

With large hands I find it fiddly to shoot in portrait mode.....plus having two batteries 'in play' is a great advantage especially when shooting wildlife in burst mode!

Excellent grip to give an upright shooting shutter release and muti-function controller for the A1- with larger lenses used in landscape mode it helps to balance the weight - a little expensive for what it is especially when there are 3rd party makes which work just as well at a fraction of the cost...
