Why does the CHG (charge) lamp not light while the battery pack is being charged?

Question

The CHG (charge) lamp does not light while the battery pack is being charged.

Answer

If the CHG (charge) lamp does not light while the battery pack is being charged, please check the folowing:
  1. Close the LCD screen to turn off the camcorder.
  2. Attach the battery pack to the camcorder correctly by sliding it in the direction of the arrow until t clicks.
     
  3. Connect the power cord (mains lead) to the wall outlet (wall socket) properly. Be sure that  mark on the DC plug is facing down.
     
  4. The CHG (charge) lamp does not light when the battery charge is complete.
