Important Notice to Sony VAIO Personal Computer Owners with VAIO Media Integrated Server Version higher than 3.1
Sony has identified that VAIO Media Integrated Server version higher than 3.1 on Sony VAIO computers have the potential risk of security vulnerability.
Description of Symptom
When user permits the access to VAIO Media server, there is a possibility for an attacker to load malicious code onto a user's system and then execute the code.
* Special technical skill will be required to load the file onto VAIO computers.
** The security vulnerability will not happen as long as the user does not permit the access from an unknown user.
*** There is no report of damage caused by this symptom yet.

Sony VAIO computers installed with VAIO Media Integrated Server version higher than 3.1.
