4mm Data Cartridge

With Sony’s unique coating technology, our 4mm DAT72 tapes are made to be more durable and reliable. The technology produces one of the thinnest magnetic layers for products, with an upper layer less than 0.15µm meters in thickness. This magnetic layer ensures high output and reduces tape noise. As for the DDS cartridge, information up to 20GB can all be stored, uncompressed, into the tiny storage media, thanks to the use of Helical scan technology, originally developed for video applications.
