This is great for sports games where you wish to hear the announcer clearly or watching the evening news with minimal distractions.

Presence Sensor

Sony's unrelenting pursuit to do its part for the environment has yielded yet another technology marvel. BRAVIA's Presence Sensor is able to detect the presence of one or more persons in the room where the TV is placed. If the Presence Sensor cannot detect anyone within the range, it will automatically set the TV to PICTURE OFF mode which instantly reduces power consumption by 50%.

Energy Saving Switch

BRAVIA’s Energy Saving Switch allows you to stop electricity leakage without having to unplug the AC cord from the outlet. The conveniently located switch can cut standby mode power consumption to practically 0W*. This means that you’ll be able to reduce CO2 emissions and trim electricity costs at the same time.
