Sony scoops two awards from the Readers Digest most trusted brands survey
Sony has been voted the most trusted brand in electronics and computer categories and the third most trusted brand overall by the Readers Digest 2009 trusted brand survey.

Producing some of New Zealand's best audio, video, game, communications, key device and information technology products, this award reflects Sony's commitment to being a quality brand that delivers on its promises.

Sony is continually producing innovative new products in response to the ever changing market. In the last few months Sony has launched products such as the world's slimmest 40-inch television, the wireless W-Series Walkman allowing users to say goodbye to headphone cord tangle forever and the HDR-TG5 Handycam (launching this month) which is small enough to fit in most pockets and handbags but powerful enough to store up to 13 hours of HD movies.

Sony is also involved in the local community on a number of levels including the support of emerging creative talent with scholarships and competitions such as the AUT Design and Creative Technologies Scholarship, Fashion Week Scholarship and the AIPA photography competition.

'We really value these awards because they are the ones that count. Ultimately it is customers' experience with our products that make Sony a success. Awards like this make us proud of what we are doing and also provide a great incentive for us to work even harder to continue to provide the best products and the best service,' said Martin McManus, Sony's Managing Director.

Sony has been recognised as a trusted brand by Reader's Digest in previous years both in New Zealand and internationally.
