Despite sustaining a broken hand at the World Cup, Walker showed her class, leading the field in the final with a good start and jumping clear to win by almost one second. This win puts her in a good position for competitions in the United States and France later this year, before she returns to New Zealand.
While travelling, Sarah will be making the most of her New Zealand Beef and Lamb Toyota Hilux, which has been fitted out with the latest Sony Xplod car audio system. So whether she is driving or simply using her 4WD as a portable office before her next race, she can stay focused and motivated listening to her music clearly and at full volume.
In addition to Sony's in-car audio, Sarah has also been testing our MDRNC500D digital noise cancelling headphones which allow her to tune out from everything else and relax when she is travelling, no matter how busy or noisy the surrounding environment may become.
“These headphones were incredible on the flights to and from South Africa,” Sarah told us. “I woke up at one point in the flight and looked around to see people talking next to me, a baby crying across the aisle and it was like I was watching a TV show on mute! I took the headphones off to hear the commotion then put them back on with a slight grin on my face and drifted back to sleep.”
Look out for Sarah this summer in BMX locations all around New Zealand where she will be helping young New Zealand BMX athletes improve their skills as well as preparing for her next Supercross event in Europe at the beginning of 2010. Read more at sarahwalker96.com.
