Easy Display Mode

The SAL30M28 is a great little compact Macro Lens for closeup photography and the SAL50F18 is absolutely perfect for portraits.

Smile Shutter
Available in Sony Cyber-shot and Handycam models, Smile Shutter makes its debut in with the 550. Used in conjunction with Quick AF Live View, Smile Shutter will automatically snap a photo when it detects a smiling face in the frame, perfect for capturing those candid moments.

7fps
Thanks to the Exmor CMOS sensor and the BIONZ Image processor, the 550 is able to shoot at an incredible 7 frames per second with fixed autofocus and exposure. Never miss the moment with 7fps shooting!

24.6 Megapixel Full Frame Exmor CMOS Sensor
This groundbreaking image sensor has been specifi cally designed for the 850 and 900 and delivers outstanding clarity for the most discerning photographer.

The sensor itself is the same size as a 35mm piece of film, and with 24.6 megapixels, is enough to capture the finest detail in whatever you are shooting.

Intelligent Preview
Intelligent Preview on the 850 and 900 lets you see the effects of tweaking settings such as white balance and exposure compensation before you start shooting. No more guess work!

G Lens
After years of collaboration with Konica Minolta, the G Series Lenses represent the pinnacle of lens craftsmanship. Using both Aspherical and Extra-Low Dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberration distortion, G series lenses are crafted to take full advantage of the high resolution image sensors used in D-SLR.
